2020 has been the best year for me as a reader, why? Because I became involved in a reading community. The experience has been great, let me share one reason why you need to join a community. The reading experience is a journey and as all journeys sometimes you don’t know what turn to take, what time to set off, or take breaks. However, with a community, you get a wide range of support that shields you from the lone-wolf vulnerability. This happens a lot in our community.
See an example: Someone posted his challenge. He used to be a good reader but along the line stopped reading as a result of supposed busy schedules. The feeling is not one he wants and he needs a change. He has made great effort but falls asleep asap.
I was away but other group members shared suggestions that were perfectly on point. These solutions can help you too. 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲: How do I avoid getting tired and sleepy (even before starting) and read more? 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗲:
𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗲: – Start small. Don’t put pressure yourself, read fewer pages. The idea is to be consistent. – Charge yourself with the task. – Create a schedule that easy things up and prioritize reading – Participate in discussions about what you reading.
– Be accountable. Reward yourself when you complete task and deny yourself something when you default. You see why communities are important. The people create a rich source of support. Join our community.
